Support of Internet Explorer 8 Discontinued

As you may know, Microsoft discontinued support of its Windows XP operating system on April 8, 2014. With the official discontinuation of XP, there will be no future end-user updates or security patches available from Microsoft, and therefore users on that operating system will be subject to vulnerabilities.

Windows XP users weren’t able to upgrade beyond Internet Explorer 8, American National Bank of Texas had maintained support for that browser version. As Microsoft is ending its support of Windows XP, American National Bank of Texas will discontinue supporting Internet Explorer 8 as of June 26, 2014.

How does this affect Online Banking and Remote Deposit Capture if you continue using Internet Explorer 8?

For now, we will not be blocking Internet Explorer 8 users. However, as of June 26 you may experience limited functionality or a visibly altered user interface as we are no longer coding for or introducing fixes for Internet Explorer 8 users. Users will need to upgrade the version of Internet Explorer they are using or switch to another supported browser in order to use ANBTX Online Banking or Remote Deposit Capture in its optimal format.
